On the other hand Bethesda makes some good stuff, or, ONE good stuff... thing... That Elder Scrolls series is nice (their Star Trek games were.... disappointing...). Being an RPG, well, that might actually end up good. If we are lucky, they will rip off Super Mario RPG :D.

It's not Bethesda that's making this game, it's Bioware. That's the company that made Knights of the Old Republic.

Bioware is an incredible developer.
Looks like yet another great Sonic game on the DS.

Oh, it will definitely be at least a good game; every game Bioware has ever made has been at least good. Will it be a great game? Possibly, possibly not, who knows... but really, the issue is... why is Bioware making a Sonic RPG for the DS? And Obsidian an Aliens RPG for the PC and consoles? There are so many better ways that they could be using their talent... I mean, it's like Alien Syndrome for the Wii. Sure it might be good, but TOTALLY GAMES is wasting their time making a shooter? WHY?? Sure I like shooters, but Totally Games used to be so great at what it did... seeing them fallen this far is quite sad. :(

Sonic Rush is actually what I consider just another marker on Sonic Team's walk of shame lately. These current Sonic games... Well I worry about the new NiGHTS' future prospects...
A Sonic RPG... Well first of all I certainly hope they maintain the art style of the old Sonic games and not this new style. So far Bioware has done a pretty good job of nailing art direction though (at least in my opinion). Mario RPG? Loved that game, but they had a lot of room to work with to bring that out, and all the successors to that original formula have only improved on it. Sonic RPG? Well when I think Mario I think jumping action and neato powerups. That proved easy to translate into an RPG. When I think Sonic? I think massive speed and crazy ramps and loops and stuff. I just wonder how exactly this is going to translate into an RPG. I would imagine the battles would require some massive fields, far larger "combat zones" than any traditional RPG would make you think, where every action involves selecting a "path" to travel to attack various enemies, spending "seconds" in this paused state instead of normal energy (rings for special moves), and a big ol' glowy magical arrow showing the attack path you selected. Using the terrain around Sonic would involve pathing over a ramp to build speed for more attack, but at the cost of the time spent travelling that path selected. You know? This might end up pretty good when I start thinking about it...
