Duel-touchscreen? That's not two screens, that's a single screen that can detect two touches AT ONCE. It's like using two mice!

Anyway, the major point is they stole'd my megahurtz! I'd been waiting around for cell phones to completely replace the buttons with a massive touch screen for a while now. Unfortunately, I never bothered doing something about it :D. Well, Apple is sure to sell a million, because it has that inexplicable "i" in the title. What does that even stand for anyway? internet? No, that wouldn't make sense... iPods aren't about the internets, they are MP3 players..., plus they had those "iMacs" years ago, and what's "internet" about the iLight? Nuts, i must be some meaningless letter. That annoys me...

Anyway, this is neato. Maybe a decent soft keyboard can finally take it's place in the cell phone world.

I've never really been interested in these jack-of-all trades phones, until I saw this. Apple is really good at making things really simple and cool to use. Hearing things like you can click on a phone number in a web site or a location in Google Maps to call that number is really cool. I probably won't get one right away, though. First of all, $500 is too much for me to spend on a phone, and secondly I don't have Cingular and haven't heard the best things about their service. Maybe I'll hop on the iPhone bandwagon once the second generation comes around or they open up to more service providers.

Actually those "features" are gimmicky to me. That's just software, and any of those other phones can be programmed to do the same. I'm more interested in the hardware side of things. Indeed, the phone part. If it's a usable phone with enough phone related features, I may consider it.

The price tag is insane though. I'm not paying the price of a low level PS3 for a phone.

.NET already allows you to create those types of links, and they work on most existing phones already. I'm using the technology on my web site.

But the web site has to have that technology implemented, which most web sites don't do. From what I understand from the iPhone it simply recognizes when there is a phone number and allows you to touch the number to make a call.

    Maybe when they're actually affordable.

I'd rather wipe my ass with five one-hundred dollar bills than spend it on a phone, no matter how much of a technological marvel it is.

I would not rather destroy my currency than spend it, but yes that phone is far too much money. It just seems cool is all.

You're not destroying the money. You're just making it highly unpleasant for it's next owner :D.

Well I suppose you don't HAVE to flush it... But considering that proper waste management is one of the things that eliminated the previous social ills of literal social ills wiping people out constantly, I'd say it's recommended.
