Casey is in a very blue district. It would be VERY easy to find a replacement that matches the values people in that district hold, but they aren't doing that. Instead Nanci is promoting someone who is actively against it. I'm not talking about the mid terms. I'm talking about RIGHT now. That man's very existence is an obstacle- wait... it looks like he's suddenly changed position. Huh... Well, I don't like the guy but maybe for once the democrats actually put in some threats that he wasn't going to get backed if he didn't play ball. That's something!
And of course I don't want a "one party state", because thank you for recognizing that the democrats have some power hungry people in charge too right now. What I AM saying is that parties should ebb and flow, one party dying and another rising to take it's place again and again, but we're frozen in time right now. The worst sin is the original sin, the sin of refusing to allow the next age to replace the current one. That's why the good ending in Dark Souls is letting the flame die to start the age of darkness.
Manchin absolutely needs to go though. The threat of not being able to confirm a judge isn't enough to justify his continued presence. He may as well be a republican at this point, and there's already talk of not "upsetting him" into "switching sides". Manchin, if you're gonna switch, just do it already.
