I'm not saying that we won't get some interesting announcements. I'm saying that we'd get those regardless of whether E3 existed or not.
By the way, if they're actually opening their doors to the public again, it's got my attention. I wouldn't be surprised if the organizers felt it necessary considering that E3 lacks the clout it once had in the industry. (Heck, companies like Blizzard have just side-stepped it entirely with their very own company specific conventions).
