... Yeah, that's pretty crazy. I'd never heard of this either, I believe, and those endings sure are weird. It's kind of too bad the EU version doesn't have most of them, that'd be entertaining for anyone crazy enough to play it that many times in a row...
Except for one thing -- these games with lots of loops but no saving are pretty annoying because you need to play it all in one sitting, or at least without turning the system off! If you could save it'd be fine, but wanting you to play the game over and over and over all at once is kind of unreasonable. Games like the Genesis version of Truxton, with its 5 or 6 loops if I remember right, are bad enough, but Zero Wing MD seriously had 35? That's crazy! I wonder if anyone ever has actually seen all of them, on an actual cart I mean and not an emulator with savestates...
