To me that looks like you're agreeing with me there... it looks better...
Oh yeah, and almost no one has full surround sound systems so that's not a very important point, but most PC games support some kind of that... I don't know what because all I have is 2 speakers (better than the TV we have at home, which is mono...), or headphones.
And I'll take resolution over big screens... it just looks so much nicer...
It only looks a tiny bit better because of the higher resolution. That's still not saying much as SC is not a good example of texturing. No current PC game has textures as good as the ones in Rogue Leader (aside from Doom 3, but that's not out yet). I'd also much rather play SC on my big TV than on my little monitor, and I prefer the X-Box controller for this game.
And almost all X-Box games support Dolby 5.1 sound, while all of the big GC games and a few PS2 titles support PLII 5.1 sound.
You said that you have a really crummy tv, right? Then of course you'd prefer your monitor over that. But if you had a nice 35 inch Wega (which I don't, but I'm trying to make a point) I'm sure you'd want to play games on that instead of on a monitor.
PCs are not ahead of consoles so far in this generation (graphically speaking, of course). They'll likely visually surpass the best console titles sometime in the second half of this year, most likely when (or if) the first wave of Direct x9-only games come out. I can't wait to let my 9700 show what it's capable of.
