1) I never told you how to think/act, nor did I say how much enjoyment you get out of a game. I was merely pointing out that more than just graphics are improved when a system receives an upgrade.
Implies that you are getting the same games you could get on the PSX, except with better graphics. This is false.
2) Of course nothing lasts forever, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everything is a "fad".
It makes things better when the developers take advantage of all the extra capabilities that come with more advanced hardware.
Why did you bring these up? They're irrelevant.

Don't get me wrong, ps2 is a good system. I just think it gets more hype than it deserves.
PS-I wonder how many people bought a ps2 just because they could play burned games with a modchip? I think a fraction of PS2 sales came from that factor alone.
