Last I checked, they aren't in a position of authority over, well, ANYONE, so even though they are perfectly in their legal right to throw someone out for whatever reason they want, they are not in the legal right to have someone, say, arrested for bringing in food. That being said, one is hardly doing anything wrong until they refuse to leave when they want to kick that one out if they are caught.
