Huh? "Manage playlists"? Uh...
I use Winamp 2.something. With a Pod skin. :) The playlists are loaded with the 'load list' button in the bottom right. Click button (double-click really). Then go through file tree (the various folders and subfolder that are in the MP3 folder that organize my MP3s), load the appropriate playlist, and hit play. I start them from the top usually... I don't generally look through them and start somewhere in the middle... and you quickly remember where the playlists are (all the game music from the cd is in one folder, all the game music from the hdd is in another, game music cds in another, music cds, etc...). At a bare minimum it's no harder to learn than memorizing where everything in a massive list is and I'd say it's probably easier. :)
And it also means that when you want to loop a list you just do nothing instead of having to go and select the top song again.
