This is almost completely off topic so maybe it should be in a new thread... oh well.
Nice website I found with a good (well... that's not really the right term, considering the topic...) and descriptive history of Sierra...

Reading about how they butchered the company and coldly fired pretty much everyone who had brought the company to the strong position it was in is so sad... its worse than SNK or Looking Glass or Sir-Tech because those ones died because of money issues and closed... Sierra didn't. They ripped apart the company and survived as a shell of a company... poor Sierra. Up until February 1999 (when the first wave of firings hit...), I was concerned for them (because for a few years Sierra had been slipping... those lame skiing games, King's Quest 8, etc...), but thought they could recover... and then it was all over.
Sierra is still one of my favorite gaming companies... that is, if I forget that the last 4 years of their history existed...
