I love the way that article says "marketing adult-rated games to children".
Perhaps the ESRB rating that parents are supposed to be checking for their psychotic children is too vague. How are parents to know that the Mature rating on the game with the words VIOLENCE, BLOOD, STRONG LANGUAGE under it means that you shouldn't let your kids play it? Perhaps the pictures of the character being chased by a police helicopter and firing a flamethrower enticed the parents into thinking that this was a wholesome, perhaps even educational, game. The game is even named after a FELONY CRIME.
How many ways can I say this? Grand Theft Auto is not only NOT marketed to children, but Rockstar made what appears to be a concerted effort to make it OBVIOUS that it wasn't a game for children.
The way people jump to blame videogames and developers, completely bypassing the real culprits, disgusts and infuriates me.
