The problem with CDs is they use a LOT of power... actually that's the biggest problem as Nintendo moves forward with the GB. Technology has gone far in the last fifteen years but battery technology hasn't moved much at all. Oh sure things have progressed in saving battery power but it hasn't gone very far when you look at the next generation. CDs and those things that the PSP uses just drain batteries very fast. I think the media drive is one of the biggest reasons the PSP won't get good battery life... it's a serious problem without a solution. Nintendo's main problem here of course is that all along the GB has been a system that has been designed not for hardware power but for battery life. This is a problem now of course because carts are trouble. They are just so expensive and so small... hard to deal with especially these days when people are used to gigabytes of storage space. I don't know what Nintendo should do...
