I think you're being a bit unfair, MgL. A little quick to judge. You're judging Gamecube without it's biggest weapons. Saying, "Can anyone of you honestly compare any of the games I listed besides Prime, SSB:M, and RE to games like Halo, MGS2, GTA:VC, and Onimusha ?" is comparable to going on to an Xbox site and stating, "Can anyone of you honestly compare any of the games I listed besides Halo, PDO, and DOAX to games like Metroid Prime, MGS2, GTA:VC, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Onimusha ?" Or perhaps you would rather go to a PS2 site and say, "Can anyone of you honestly compare any of the games I listed besides GTA: VC and MGS2 to games like Halo, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil, and Splinter Cell?"
The thing is, Gamecube is especially driven by its big titles, and I can honestly say that I am completely satisfied with my purchase so far. Although I feel that I really haven't received the true Mario game that I deserve, SMS was undoubtedly a box filled with joy. It's not up there with Metroid Prime, but it's certainly not excrement. Star Fox Adventures was admitedly shallow. However, games like Phantasy Star Online, Animal Crossing, Timesplitters 2, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Rogue Leader, Sonic Adventure 2, Mario Party 4, and Pikmin have formed a solid "second tier" list of Gamecube games to buttress the lineup when top tier game misses the mark, or when you're waiting for the next "top tier" game like Zelda.
