I guess he kinda does... Actually, regardless he'd still have his NAME to give away who he is, so he'd be like Cloud's very different look in Kingdom Hearts.
Anyway, I thought you said he never uses an axe. Seems that action figure is equipped with one... You know though, he MAY be able to change shape during the course of the fighting, like when he changes stances. Also, if you have a problem with the weapon, it seems they have the ability to gain new weapons and such during play that was in Soul Edge (a game I never played, so I'm not sure if it only allowed cooler versions of the character's equipped weapon or actually let you get different kinds of weapons). He doesn't look too out of place when you consider the motly crew of demonic other characters in the game (hmm, Ganondorf would also be a good fit, especially if they gave him some smaller versions of the double curved blades he has in Ganon form) like Inferno, Asteroth, and the rest of what I lovlingly refer to as "the freaks" of the game.
Oh, and as it turns out, I was wrong. The Tekken fellow who's name I forget does have weapons. He uses his metal bracelets.
