It's interesting that Tales of Symphonia caused a bigger sales spike than Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles. Namco expects to sell 500,000 copies of Symphonia, and it's well on its way to that figure. I'd be really surprised if this were a lasting trend, but it's quite an event for Gamecube to outsell PS2 in a week. Hopefully, Nintendo's momentum will continue into the holiday season.
