HDD? That'll be a drain on the battery power... too many moving parts.
I think this is a bit much because buying all these add-ons to try and turn the DS into the PSP seems to be misplaced effort. Rather, if Nintendo actually wants to go that route, they should focus on simply including a memory card port in their next portable and the ability to update the system's firmware so they can add in support for those features without needing external hardware.
As for me, none of these things interest me. It's too much money just to get the DS to do things I really don't need it to do (I have a PSP already). Nintendo should come back when they've released some GBA to SD card adapter for the DS (plug it in the GBA port, put a USB plug in it too) and allow me to use all sorts of files on my computer in various games. The PSP has this potential too, but so far no one is using it.
