I totally see why Nintendo is taking the innovative approach and I applaud them. I hope they do expand the market, just as much as I hope Microsoft exceeds at bringing in more casuals with their high-tech offerings AND "low-tech" games with Live Acade (velocity girl? lol), and then I hope whatever Sony is doing (creating an all-in-one box for the masses?) works out for them as well.
EDIT: Just a sidenote. The fact that if you were to log on to Xbox Live at most any given moment you'd see more people playing Marble Blast Ultra, Geometry Wars, or Zuma than you would Perfect Dark Zero or Call of Duty leads me to believe that the masses could certainly latch onto a machine with simplicity in mind.
