I'm going to sell my SP. I want that newer, brighter screen.
Yes, the old SPs are going to be only fitty bucks, but that screen is totally worth another thirty to me. I brought my SP to work just to see side-by-side what the difference was like, and it's not just the brightness; the colors on the new screen are MUCH deeper, richer, and vivid. It's a gigantic difference. I really recommend saving a little more money and going for it, if you have any intention of getting one.
DS... I'm still not entirely sold on it, not enough to spend the kind of money they go for. But my girlfriend's getting one for Christmas, so I don't really need one of my own :D
PSP has been a massive letdown for me. Sony had the potential to rip a gaping new market for themselves and they completely blew it by releasing one new game roughly every lunar month, in-between three dozen new movies, and so far, not one of those games has come anywhere close to making me want the machine. Of course, this is exactly what I said about the DS for a long time, and they finally wised up and made Nintendogs, only to follow up with several more rather fun games.
I expect things will get better over time, and I'll almost certainly own one in the future, but this is why I never buy machines early in their lives. It's just not worth it to me.
