Oh and EdenMaster, I know what you mean by word training when you find out real pronouncing :D. I used to pronounce "Magus" with a soft a, until I actually heard the word and found out it's a hard a sound. I also used to say chocobo with soft o's, until Final Fantasy 10, where I finally heard it, and now I'm STILL correcting myself. I also thought Tidus (the ONE name not said aloud since you can change it) was said with a long i, since there are tides and water is important to his sport. Then, I got Kingdom Hearts (which is officially getting a sequal accoring to Square-Enix), and heard his name said with a soft i (but then again, they went with the Japanese version of Aeris' name (Aerith), which while accurate in one way, isn't very accurate as far as going with their old name changes, continuity).
Until I played FFX, I pronounced the first part of chocobo the same way as chocolate (chock-oh-boh) until I heard the correct pronunciation. Of course, I had been saying chocobo that way for almost a decade, so it's difficult to change now :).
Also, about Tidus, how is it pronounced now? I always pronounce it like Titus, is it some funky way. I do like the way they dance around having to say his name :D. Auron sometimes calls him "kid", one time he said "new guy", Wakka has used "buddy" a lot, and Yuna once said "star player of the Zanarkand Abes. The first time I played through, I changed his name, so I thought (don't ask me why) that they might actually mention his name if I left it as is. No luck there, of course. I always rename my aeons though :).
I'm a big fan of FFX, if you can't tell :D
