Still, I don't quite think it should have been spelled "bass".
Oh, OB1, I never once noticed that (Duff McWalen is a huge stretch I think...). However, I DID notice that the Japanese names for all the MMX5 bosses are different. In the Japanese version, all the bosses have the standard adjective-animal format, like my name. To be honest I think it was rather stupid for them to change the names of all those bosses.
Oh and EdenMaster, I know what you mean by word training when you find out real pronouncing :D. I used to pronounce "Magus" with a soft a, until I actually heard the word and found out it's a hard a sound. I also used to say chocobo with soft o's, until Final Fantasy 10, where I finally heard it, and now I'm STILL correcting myself. I also thought Tidus (the ONE name not said aloud since you can change it) was said with a long i, since there are tides and water is important to his sport. Then, I got Kingdom Hearts (which is officially getting a sequal accoring to Square-Enix), and heard his name said with a soft i (but then again, they went with the Japanese version of Aeris' name (Aerith), which while accurate in one way, isn't very accurate as far as going with their old name changes, continuity).
