Quote:This just in from Planet GameCube
Actually, they're just reporting news from other sources... and even that report was from a day or two before. But really all you needed to know was to go to the official site, check the FAQ, and see that they say 'SC:Ghost is coming to the Xbox and PS2' with no mention of the GC...
Quote:So someone brings up the obvious when he says the GCN doesn't have an online service (and neither does the PS2 if they are talking about the company providing it's own servers for 3rd parties as opposed to hardware) and he just says "well um, there are other reasons" without elaborating.
Yeah... the no internet service excuse, as you said before, is really bad, because PS2 doesn't have one either. If Battle.net can run PS2 SC:Ghost, it can run GC SC:Ghost. They just didn't think it'd sell enough to make the investment in the GC version worth it... I bet that they're wrong, and that the GC version would sell better than they think, but oh well... it's not like there's anything we can do about it.
Quote:Anyone think the GCN's onilne is actually a huge catch 22? No one is making online GCN games because almost no one has the adapter. No one has the adapter because there are almost no online games on the GCN to warrent that purchase. This may be the real reason for Blizzard's cancelling. This would doubly be the case since the new PS2 has online built in.
It is a paradox, isn't it...
