Several things. First, few people have broadband adaptors for GC. Second, it's even harder to find one of them. Third, very few games support them -- so the technology probably isn't as easy to figure out as PS2 online gaming probably is by now... oh, and fourth? Blizzard is looking for an excuse to cancel the version that they know will sell the least anyway.
