I expect the new Mario game to really use this flawlessly. Super Mario 64 DS may have had a terrible control scheme, but that was a game that is not really made in any way to use the touch screen. Meteos, Kirby Canvas Curse, the myriad of TBS games we can expect in the future of the DS, THOSE are games specially designed to take advantage of what a touch screen can do. RPGs could also work well if done right. I'm thinking that in FF3, battles will all be done via touching a command and then whatever you want to do that command to (where applicable). It would be a nice intuitive system I'd think. I also think that the menus will likely be driven the same way.
An analog stick would have helped if Nintendo was planning on bringing N64 games to the system, but for original games specially designed for the DS? The touch screen works great.
