Yeah, but it's not really necessary since it's really easy to compare the characters in AD to people you know in real life. I think that's one of the reasons it works so well.

True. As I said, the lack of character development is just fine... it's just one of the things that makes the show somewhat unique (usually the shows with lacking character development are the action shows, not the slow-paced story ones...).

I usually don't like it when shows go on for a long time and I like it when they end at 26 or 13, but you're right, AD could have lasted longer.

I don't mind long, as long as the quality stays decent... and it was definitely too short. Great, but short...

... it's on my 'buy sometime' list now, with Lain and Haibane Renmei and maybe Escaflowne and maybe some others that I can't think of right now. (Love Hina, perhaps? I'd say 'Kanon and To Heart', but neither of those has a US release...)

Yeah, I know... but they could have done more. Oh well, I guess that was in that little additional thing on the third disk, with an expanded version of Osaka's dream thing where Chiyo loses her pigtails... (at least I think it was expanded, I didn't remember all of that from when it was in the show...)
