Ah. I guess I do have to explain more... just for you, DJ. :)
A few years ago, before SNK died (that happened in 2000), Capcom and SNK made a deal to use eachother's characters in games. Capcom soon made Capcom Vs SNK, and its sequel Capcom Vs SNK 2, which recently came out for all three consoles.
SNK, however, went out of business, so the fate of SNK Vs Capcom was for years unclear... until recently when Playmore, the Japanese company that bought the assets of SNK after it closed, announced the existance of SNK Vs Capcom: SVC Chaos...
Now, this is a different game in a different series by a different developer than CVS1 or 2. This is made by Playmore....

This is all the official Playmore site has now -- a picture. Click the link... it does look cool...
And Playmore hasn't released any games for NGC or X-Box... they haven't even released US PS2 or Dreamcast (Yup, they still support it... they just released KOF 2002 for it... in Japan) ports of the last couple games (Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, KOF 2001 and 2...), as far as I know! So hearing this -- that not only would it come out for all three consoles but it'd get a US release -- is VERY good news if its true...
One more thing. This game, remember, is made by Playmore who, like SNK before it, works on the Neo-Geo hardware... remember it? It came out in the late '80s... its a 16-bit system too. Very old, but it has a huge max cart size (the last several King of Fighters games for example are about 950 Mb)... I bet that this game will be around 1000 Mb too...
As for characters, I expect that the number will be like the KOF games -- maybe 40-something characters.
As for the gameplay style, all we know is this.

Quote:Additionally, Playmore revealed that the concept behind SNK vs Capcom would be "SSI," or Simple (simple controls), Speedy (speedy controls), and Insight (deep gameplay). The developers stated that the game would be "not a match," implying that there would be no tournament structure. How this will affect gameplay, if at all, is unknown.
