ABF, are you really that surprised it's coming to GCN? Capcom Vs SNK 2 came to GCN ya know, before the XBox version.
I hope it's based on the Neo Geo Pocket Color version. I had a friend with a copy of that game, and from what little I played, it rocked. For one, it actually was more than just King of Fighters: Introducing the Street Fighters. It actually had characters from all the franchises, like Mega Man, and Arthur of Ghost and Goblin fame. It also had character switching mid battle. If they combined all the goodness of SNK vs Capcom (there was also all sorts of other stuff, like Smash Bros Melee style mode of play where you actually took the characters into challenges similar to their respective games, oh and the assortment of other challenges for single player goodness) with stuff like Capcom Vs SNK's groove system and character strength levels (and of course make the latter something where you can pick the strength level, like in Capcom Vs SNK 2), I do believe the best of both worlds would be realized.
