		Your analogy falls apart for the reasons ABF said.  Series I can watch relatively free.  Movies I may not be able to see any other way than by buying, same with games.  If this TV series had been cancelled long ago and the only way to get a wack at it was the DVDs, then you'd have a point, with enough data buying a DVD to check it out becomes a good choice.  If this show's currently on television though, then suddenly that same decision becomes very stupid indeed.  You see?
