Um... the best way to get an idea of what a game is, without buying it or before it comes out, is a demo. It's a great way to learn how a game is! The whole POINT of demos is to give you an idea of how the game plays, etc...

Um, sorry, I seem to be making up for a lack of a certain element around here...

What I meant to say was, okay that's impressive. I still have a healthy bit of doubt, but that's just as a protective mechanism more than anything.

I don't understand what you have against demos, or picking a best game of E3... these people have gone around and seen all the big titles, and they shouldn't be allowed to choose which one they think was best? I mean sure, you're basing it on what they want to show you of the game, but for it to be Best Game of E3 you'd certainly hope, that if the journalists have any credibility at all, that they'd be able to look past that and see what the game is... and is there any better way to judge that than playing the game?
