Well then, I admit ignorance on this aspect of the argument. Still, you must admit, it is far, far more widespread in our species for it to be simply born-in. Something this prevelant in a species genes would greatly hinder, even wipe out said species.

That's not true. There are NO facts in this matter. Not proven ones anyhow. Science has mapped much of the human genome and has discovered numerous diseases and other things caused by a person genes, but have yet to discover a gene causing homosexuality. That's a fact that YOU and ABF seem to be ignoring. It's kind of a sketchy one, but it cannot be ignored. It sounds much more credible than what you're presenting, which is basically just "No, that doesn't sound right, so it's not."

I've heard lots of bashing regarding political and religious bias on the subject from you guys, but little else. If it helps, I have no official political affiliation (though I do lean Democratic) and I am influenced by nearly nothing the church says or does, including on this matter.

We don't know the specific cause, but we know what it feels like for homosexuals. And if there's one thing that's definite, it's that there is no element of personal choice in if you are attracted to the same gender of the other one, naturally (ie yes, the human mind is powerful and we can convince ourselves of things in the right circumstances, like I said earlier, but what is natural to us is always the first and easies thing which all of those other things are based upon.). The way people like Weltall attempt to say that there is no difference between practicing homosexuality and being homosexual in your brain is despicable and completely false, as I have shown over and over... those are two completely seperate issues.

Oh yeah, and you people also love to ignore the fact that some animals are homosexual as well... are you saying that they're intelligent enough to make such a choice?
