Even technically it's very impressive, though not the most impressive in the world. Just look at the video, of the horse. Far more impressive than the horse in the upcoming Zelda. Animation is incredible and the horse actually has a flowing mane and tail. Zelda's horse has a mane texture. :) Not that I'm trying to compare the two games, but you have to give credit where credit is due.
But yes, it's on an artistic level that this game shines above all else. Just look at this, it looks like something out of an old Fritz Lang movie:
