SC: Ghost, if it gets released, will be a great stealth game... and those can be fun, so I'm definitely looking forward to it. It's a great use of Starcraft in another genre -- the Ghost is perfect for a stealth game... (they could do a mech game with the Goliath, of course, or a flight sim with ... well there're are bunch of fighters... but those are less popular than stealth.)
As for WCII, it IS still played on B.Net. No, the numbers aren't as large as the numbers for WCIII or SC. But it IS played some... but yeah, probably not enough (and the game is just too old) for them to really consider big balance changes after so many years of it being the way it is... especially when you consider that Humans CAN be just as good. If you're really good at micro. :) (true, even with micro Ogres > Paladins. But if you can manage spells, Mages > Death Knights...)
