Well, a dragon named Trogdor burninates the peasant cottages. A peasant named Rather Dashing then goes on an adventure to slay him. Let me find links to all the cartoons that explain the origins of this concept:

Instead of answering an email like Strong Bad is supposed to do every week, Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat are hanging out in the basement playing the new Trogdor game. At the end of the cartoon, you are given the option of playing the game.

Or, you can just click this link to skip over the cartoon and get straight to the game. In this game, you play as Trogdor and have to stomp the peasants, then burninate the cottages, but watch out for knights and archers!

Before answering an email, we see Strong Bad playing Peasant's Quest. This isn't really a part of the continuity of Trogdor, but it is one of the cartoons featuring a reference to the series.

Finally, we have the preview you just watched in this thread for the Peasant's Quest movie. (Which isn't really coming out, it's just a joke.) Choose from three different sizes: jhonka, kerrek, or TROGDOR!!!!
Yeah... so I hope that clears things up, as opposed to making things more confusing for you.
