I'd be skeptical too, if not for the fact that they threw their hat into the ring of online play with the DS. I bet that they'll see how players respond and use the online wi-fi capabilites of the DS before deciding on a direction for the Revolution.
I can believe a hard drive. Nintendo isn't a stupid company, their two major competitors both have hard drives and are very useful, so I can see then wanting to follow that lead.
