I don't think that there is some kind of time split... that's a silly explanation, IMO. It would make more sense to just say that they are in the same timeline. Are there still problems? Sure. But I'd far rather just explain those away than go to the drastic (and, IMO, kind of dumb) step of saying that there are actually seperate timelines that explain away the problems... kinda...

MM, though, is a seperate timeline. That is true.

The idea of the games mostly taking place in the Sacred Realm... I think the same thing -- it just doesn't really make sense...
