Sounds about right... except do we really know which Link the new GC Zelda is going to have in it? I don't think so. And the Oracles and LA placement is somewhat a matter of opinion. I've heard some say that Oracles are not in it at all (as you suggest) but I'd rather think they are... and yes, it does provide the perfect leadin into LA with the ship. It does not mean that they MUST be prequels to LA, but it means that it makes sense to imagine they are... more sense than calling them prequels to any other Zelda games (oh, as for LA, if you remember the LA manual tells the story of how Link, after saving Hyrule or something, was journeying for adventure or enlightenment or something, I forget exactly, and was on his way home when the ship was hit by the storm seen in the intro...).
What really doesn't have a definite place, though, is where Oracles and LA (if you accept that they are linked) go in the timeline. While LttP is the popular place, I've seen them put after Zelda 2, after MM, all by themselves... and since they have very few clues to no as to which Link it is, it's hard to say for sure. LttP is simply the best guess because LA was the next Zelda game after LttP.
