I'll cheer when the old fuck dies. I think most Cubans would like to see him gone too, so showing him a kind side is probably not a good idea.
I'm interested in saving his nation from disaster, but Fidel can rot in hell for all I care.
I am not going to fight over weither Castro is really good or not, I am not saying he is a saint but I dont think he desserves to be humiliated at for one he is a old man and there is alot of people sitting in your penitentiaries who desserve much harder scorn.
Like ABF said alot of the folks you call freinds now are worse then Castro and nothing is being done to them.
You wont have a guilty concious like you did with "Saddam", The Shah,"Saudi royal despots". If you are forigiving with Castro he will drop the anti americanism and he would call the U.S no longer a foe and yet to be proven freind the saunctions being lifted would be proof to the cubans for themselves, You cannot lift saunctions if your still at odds with Castro, So when Castro dies which is soon the cubans will say the americans are not bad people with only their own self interest in mind and were generous. Also Castro replacement is gonna be in the seat faster harder and stronger and maybe badder then Castro, if in that senario and the saunctions are still there nothing has changed to improve anything just prolong a problem maybe even make it worse,I dont believe Communism in Cuba is gonna crumble with Castro gone, But decency and the opportunity for change and improvement might vannish.
You even said now yourself maybe lifting saunctions now would not be a bad idea, But You cant do that if your still at odds with Castro.
