Whole = describing an ENTIRE something, as in, "the whole nation", or "the whole pizza"
hole = big arse part of something where there isn't something... I'm bad at this, as in "there is a hole in my pocket" or "cover the hole with leaves so they fall in, oh no, we fell in! Nerherher!"
