I agree. In principle, I really dislike the government of Cuba, but at the same time, the practical side of me knows there is no legitimate threat from Cuba. It's like defending your home against an 80 year old paraplegic that used to be a terrible cat burglar. Also, we trade openly with China... no better than Cuba on any issue really. I'd agree with sanctions if they precipitated some sort of reform, but they're really just a waste of resources. I think it would be better to open up to them, and hope that has an effect on the transition of power that is sure to come.
