Quote:You're not kidding anyone but yourself, Brian. This is a classic example of a troll thread.
Only to someone who as serially misrepresents everything everyone else says as you, OB1. Not to anyone who can actually comprehend other people's posts. But for you to understand that you'd actually have to consider a word that I have said in this thread, so of course that's impossible, sadly. *expects OB1 to repeat himself again*
... sorry, I try really hard to not insult you, but you get so mean and so stupid that I just can't avoid it forever when you keep acting like a moron... I wish there was a better way, but there really isn't as long as you keep up this kind of stupidity.
Quote:Of course you don't agree. You've played very little of each game. Body Harvest is more linear in its mission structure, but it has even greater freedom in terms of environments so it evens out.
I think that while you do wander around a lot in Body Harvest, you probably do it more in the context of completing your current mission in some fashion... not only for sure, but probably to a larger extent.
Quote:Morrowind would be a much better game if not for one major flaw. Graphics? No. Combat? No. Size of the world? No. Amount of things to do? No. Characters not having enough to say? No. Cliff racers. That's right, cliff races. The most annoying videogame monsters ever conceived. I would go as far as to say that someone who doesn't like Morrowind solely because of the cliff racers has a valid point. It's not that they're hard to beat, but they fly down from the sky and hit you. You'll just be walking along and BAM! one of the buggers comes down and hits you. And you know it's cliff racer because it'll squawk at you. And you'll likely be attacked by some monsters on the ground too, so they're hitting and the cliff racers are hitting you and you're running out of health because you forgot to buy some potions last time you were in town. Finally you defeat the monsters on the ground and divert your attention to the cliff racer. Well guess what? That one cliff racer is now FOUR cliff racers!! You have almost no health left so you start running away back in the direction of the nearest town but the cliff racers are faster than you so they keep hitting and you're running and trying to heal yourself with magic at the same time but you're not very skilled with magic so it only works half the time and then BANDITS!! So now you're being chased by four cliff racers and three bandits and you're running out of health and the last time you saved was a long ways back and you begin to wonder just why exactly you thought it was a good idea to go back to that God-forsaken island anyway.
While you're playing a fun game you often don't notice, or can easily overlook, the game system problems... like, I'd say for me, XGRA. I know that it is flawed. The weapon system is again broken -- it's nearly impossible to kill the other guys without the deathstrike and then with it it is impossible to fail. Not good at all, especially in the 'must kill' sub-missions before you get the deathstrike... the game is also far too easy. But when I play it I can quickly ignore that and just focus on the fact that the game is fun or that this mission (or, more likely, optional sub-mission) is hard...
As you can probably guess my point is twofold. One, saying that a game is flawed is not saying that it is bad or that you hate it or something. And two, once you step back and look at the game while trying to be more objective you can often see those flaws, even if you don't consider them to be major problems or something. What do you think? :)
