No. Nintendo is definetly not evil. For some reason, nobody can understand that this is a business. You gotta spend money to make money, and buying players like A-Rod will give the Yankees a great deal of popularity. Also, every time a team makes the playoffs, they make a lot of money from merchandise and raised ticket prices. If buying the best players in the game will give a team a playoff berth, then there isn't much other teams can do about that, except build on their farm teams and become contenders themselves. Case in point, the Minnesota Twins, and the NHL's Ottawa Senators. Being a big fan of a small-market team myself, I really hate it when all the best players are dealt to teams with endless pockets by the time their contract is up. Examples, NL-Cy Young winner Pedro Martinez to the Red $ox, Javiar Vasquez to the Yankees, and Vladimir Guerrero (who I still consider an Expo) going to the Angles.
Red Sox fans disgust me, as well as any baseball fan who despises the Yankees on the sole basis of their payroll. Seeing as how they are Red Sox fans the most often, the vast majority of them are hypocrites. One look at the Red Sox GIGANTIC payroll, as well as players bought in much the same way that Yankees players are (one is quick to forget that many Yankees stars, such as Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Mariano Rivera have spent their entire careers with the Yankeers organization) only proves that they are a bunch of sore losers who can't blame themselves for losing, but only the Yankees and all their money. $125, 000, 000 just isn't enough to win a World Series on, I guess. Yeah, try telling that to Florida.
