Quote:If we're looking at this from a purely technical standpoint that PS2 would destory the DS, but I think the handheld market is a totally different entity than the console market and people looking to buy handhelds are looking for something different than what they would if they were buying a console.
Well that's based off of the fact that there's only been that choice to consumers in the past. Saying that all people want is the very thing that they've had no other choice but to have is a bit silly, don't you think?
Quote:Combine that with reports of Sony having around 100 games for the PSP to be shown at TGS, and there's a bit of a contrast.
Tell me about it.
Quote:Also remember that the PSP isn't necessarily going straight for Nintendo's market. Sony's machine is all purpose. I guess it has it's sights set on Nokia's N-Gage market.
That's bullshit and you know it. If the PSP didn't pose any sort of threat to Nintendo's market share then the DS would not be coming out this year, and Nintendo wouldn't be saying that they're going to market the DS towards and older crowd. Nintendo also said that the PS2 wasn't in direct competition with the GC. Remember that?
