Bleh, SFA was very disappointing after all the hype. I was just as excited to get it as any other Nintendo fan, but I only played it for a few hours before I tired of it.
Yes, definitely get Twin Snakes and Soul Calibur II. Both are incredible games that'll keep you coming back for more (at least they did for me).
Back to the Final Fantasy thing, I would whole-heartedly recommend FFX to anyone with a PS2, but I'd be more hesitant to suggest FFX-2. Sure it's not a bad game by any means, but it lost so much of what FFX so great. The music is awful, the girlish romps around Spira can be painful to watch, and I'm just not a fan of real-time battles. Sure, it has some tough bosses, great character progression system (though not as good as the Sphere Grid), and fun mini-games, but give me Blitzball over Sphere Break any day.

The Earthworker Race has ended. Everybody wins.
