Aren't you the person who doesn't see the point in exploring the unknown? Why rage against machines? They are inanimate anyway. I bet you liked the Matrix because you thought the message was about the evils of technology or something. Machines are very useful. If you think they are controlling us, then you fail to truly get the point. They only control those who are too weak to control them.
