I would LOVE to be able to run along the side of a huge hill, get to the top and pick some flowers, then look down at the huge world below. Big and bland like Morrowind would be bad (even if it had a decent draw distance), but something like the meadows in Dantooine (all of the areas but w/o blocks and split up into sections) would be really great.
When the first shots of Fable were released I got extremely excited over the prospects of simply running up a huge mountain and enjoying the virtual scenery. This shot in particular gave me that feeling, but the game doesn't look quite that good anymore, and I don't want to get my hopes up for a huge world. The closest thing to that scope in the current screens is right below the old one, and as you can see it doesn't look quite the same. The devs at the bigbluebox forums say the game looks better than it does in recent screens but not quite as good as the very first screens, but I've never been able to get a solid response regarding the environment sizes.
