Wow, Weltall... sad... you disliked JFG, Conker, Banjo, and PD? ... I can't think of much to say except YOU ARE INSANE... and completely wrong. Rare's games are (except for those two merely above average exceptions) brilliant... they were good before that too (see DKC...), but on the N64 they really broke out. Banjo-Kazooie was Mario 64 but done differently. It wasn't as good overall, okay, but it was a great game... shows Rare's great sense of humor for one, as do B-T and JFG... very funny games... and with great platforming action. DK64 and B-T were admittedly more of the same, but it was a great 'same' to be copying. As for JFG, that's a brilliant action-shooter. How could you dislike it? The framerate issue? That one to me is irrelevant and I don't even notice it... what I do notice is the great shooting action...
Oh, and Blast Corps is an incredible game. So much variety (there are more "minigame" levels than normal ones, by far), so long and challenging...seems simple but has a lot of depth... can play just about forever with the Platinums as hard to get as they are... awesome game.
After the N64 Rare lost people and seems to have struggled, but they really did save the N64. Without them it'd have been nowhere near as good... oh sure if others were on it it would have not been as obvious but still, their stuff is brilliant by any standard.
Oh, and they made 11 games... I forgot the great Diddy Kong Racing...
