I only need one reason, SimCity 2000 was infinitly more engrossing to me then Civilization 2. I'd play it at night and before I knew it it was dawn.
No, there is no way to "win" SC2k (Well actually there is one way but even then the game goes on) but that's not the point of the game. The way Will Wright the creator of the series explains it is SimCity (and The Sims as well) aren't so much games as they are toys. Whereas say baseball is a game you play with a ball, SimCity is the ball. It's up to you to decide what you want to do with it. Some people like this, others don't. It's simply a matter of taste.
