Well you never know. The problem that all the other handhelds had with competing with the GBA was simply support and backing from gamers and software companies. The PSP, however, can run off of the PS2's popularity, not to mention Sony already has secured the support of many major 3rd party developers.

Just like the suprise they pulled off in beating down Nintendo with the N64/PSX era, it could very well happen again unfortunately, and this time would be big trouble for Nintendo.
