Well you must have been doing it only one way without experimenting if you're still having trouble with it. You're not supposed to press jump the split second that you touch a wall, you do it a split second after you move the analog stick in the direction you want to go(which is what I said the first time). Actually it's a lot like Super Metroid's jumping, only much easier. Jump, direct, jump. Mario 64's and SM's wall jumping took me a while to learn but I found PoP's to be easy. Perhaps the training I got from Mario 64 and SM helped, but whatever the case is I found it really simple. Just jump like you did in Super Metroid, and don't do it too fast. And if you're hitting the button too hard then you must be trying too much. You need to be relaxed.
