So far, it's about as real as our own government's conceptual designs for the same kind of suit. The idea is to use a complicated web of fibre optic cables to transfer all the light hitting one side to the other, where it's let go in about the same area, OR (here's the other one on the show I saw) to use a sort of memory material that works a lot like a photograph and those little toys in the cereal you used to get that would glow in the dark after you stored a bunch of light in them by holding them by a light bulb. You get the idea there.
Anyway, this is just the latest article regarding yet another guy working on such a project. Until they manage to get so invisible a bumper guardian doesn't see them and they grab a piece of heart, it's just a passing fancy.
