And just as importantly, as I've said before, harder core and older gamer goodwill and credibility...
When Nintendo finally does go online I'm sure it'll be some mass-market thing, not just a elite one like MS and the broadband-only Live. That is probably good. However, if they don't have one before once they finally do get one people won't pay much attention since everyone who cares will have gone to the other platforms... Nintendo just doesn't get that. At all.
Well, they'll see what happens when they expect people to come when they finally make one and only the most devoted Nintendo fans care anymore... (since kids, their main market, generally don't play online games nearly as often...).
